The Lynchburg community will gather by the hundreds on Friday evening for a special event to ring in the Independence Day holiday.
The Downtown Lynchburg Association is hosting “Fireworks on the Riverfront” on Friday, June 30, for the third consecutive year. The display will begin just after dark, approximately 9:15 p.m., and visitors are encouraged to arrive anytime after 6 p.m. to enjoy music, food, and activities.
The DLA said visitors can expect this year’s display to be bigger and higher than before, and should plan to bring a picnic, chairs, and blankets.
Leading up to the fireworks display, the community can enjoy refreshments provided by Nomad Coffee Co., Slice Versa, Batter Bar, Downtown Cairo, Gracie Rae Pops, and Holy Heaven Cookie Co.
